Yahoo, I Remembered!

Sockeye salmon on the bbq (finished off with some maple syrup), corn & bean salad, cole slaw.  Let the picture do the talkin!  That salmon was like candy baby!

 

...and of course, Grant Burge Shiraz to wash it all down.

Another Day or Two Skipped BUT....

I remember to take a pic after every meal.  That must count for something, no?!
So, we went to mummy's yesterday, had a delish lunch of salads and ham (AND she forced us to help her eat ice cream with shortcake AND fresh Ontario peaches!) there, forgot to take a pic, had an early supper on the way home (@ Pho Milton), REMEMBERED to take a pic, half way thru the meal but at least i remembered!  The chicken pad thai was pretty good, nice and fresh but lacked flavour.  The waitress even questioned our ability to handle this "spicy dish" and still there was no heat to speak of....after asking her for "more spicy than normal".  We really must learn to travel with Matouk's.  So, i give you ...the pics....

Larry ordered some cold spring rolls too but they were gone before i brought out the camera!

I'm a Pathetic Daily Blogger.

I forgot again tonight.  No pic of the delish bbq striploin, baked beans & edamame.  Settle for this?!

We went for sushi the other night and that would have been a GREAT dish pic but NO, i failed.

I remembered!  I meant to take a pic before it was cooked to compare with the cooked BUT you know me!  So, here's another delicioso pizza.  I had pilsener & za, Larry had Guiness, za & pills.  To each their own, eh?!

I Never Knew.....

....how hard this would be!  I have so much more respect for bloggers that do this EVERY day!!  The daily vloggers are even crazier!  I not only forgot a picture of the lovely fresh lasagne (and Caesar salad with fishies!) on Sunday but i forgot a picture of the leftovers on Monday.  Pathetic, really.

Yup, I've failed already!  I missed a day.  Old age, that's my excuse.  I can use it for years!
But here is the start of a good culinary day.  Lasagne is about to go into the oven so I'll hopefully have a delicious pic later, of that.  Here are the homemade croutons for the Caesar salad we're having later....with said lasagne.  oh boy oh boy oh boy!!

Sure, the picture could be better but it still tasted yummy!
Last night's supper (CAB strip loins, mango salad and fresh Ontario edamame) was much better but somebody scarfed that down so fast the photographer didn't even have time to put a fresh roll of film in the camera.  HUH?!

Tomorrow's will be better, promise.

Okay, okay, will some Pennsylvania peaches hold you until then??

home made whole wheat dough,
tomato sauce with a dash of bbq sauce,
pineapple,
mushrooms,
anchovies,
pepperoni,
caramelized onions,
green pepper,
chicken cooked with Matouk's hot sauce (Larry's secret recipe),
fresh garlic,
our own oven dried tomatoes,
feta cheese,
goat cheese.

Ready?  Set?  Salivate!

The Start

I have no idea what i am doing but i thought i'd give this a try!  I follow LOTS of blogs and vlogs and thoroughly enjoy each one.  Everyone has a different take on life to share with the world so why not share mine too?!  Don't look for perfect spelling OR grammar.  Life's too short to fret over such things.  I'll just post "a dish a day" - if you're lucky!  I intended to share a picture each day on Instagram too but have forgotten to even take pictures for the past 3 days so i can't promise any better discipline here!  I'll start with sweet Joel - he's not a dish but he's sure yummy!

How many loaves of zuchinni bread would this make?!
